JDPC Nsukka’s Executive Director Supports Paralysed Parishioners with tricycle bike, and Wheelchair

To help alleviate the plights of people living with disabilities, JDPC Nsukka’s Executive Director, Rev. Fr. Dr. Matthew Ezea procured tricycle bike and wheel chairs for the disabled parishioners. One of the beneficiaries of the tricycle machine form St. Theresa’s Parish, Onisha Enugu Ezike explained that it had been her desire to be mobile since she has the desire to engage in min business even with her disability but had not been able to achieve the dream since she is from a very poor family. She expressed her joy and prayed that the good lord will continue to bless JDPC Nsukka.

Parish priests of flood affected communities receiving food support of Bishop for their affected parishioners

Flooding affected many communities within Nsukka Diocese and wiped many economic hopes and sources of livelihoods including properties and homes. To help parishioners and none parishioners in those communities to quickly recover from the shocks and bounce back to their normal lives, bishop of Nsukka Diocese procured over 45 bags of 100kg of rice and other condiments and through JDPC Nsukka distributed these food items to parishioners for their consumptions.

Due to the tough economic realities in Nigerian which now bites harder on everyone and most especially the poor and orphans and vulnerable groups, JDPC Nsukka supported a motherless baby home DIVINE WOUNDS at Ogbodu Enugu Ezike with five bags of 100kg bags of rice. The motherless home which is located at Ogbodu Enugu Ezike is managed by a Catholic Reverend Sister. This measure was geared towards alleviating the motherless home of the challenges of hunger for the children and to further lend support to the management of the institution
